Client Information:

Primary Service Preference: Please select your primary service preference below. This selection will be used for routine dispatch and auto-dial responses to winter weather events. However, you may request a different service option as needed by notifying our office.

Primary Service Preference
Plowing ONLY (No ice treatment, no use of snowblower, shovel, or other specialized equipment).
Full Service (Includes the most appropriate treatment, including plowing, snowblower, shoveling, other specialized equipment, and salt treatment as needed).

Plowing ONLY: Includes snow clearing from all areas accessible by a plow-equipped vehicle. Please note: salt treatment is not included in this option. Important: This option may not be recommended or available for your property due to specific conditions or requirements, and as such, may have been excluded from your quote.

Full Service: Includes snow clearing from all areas assessed and calculated during our property visit. Salt treatment will be applied as needed to any areas where slippery conditions are present or likely to develop, ensuring safe access and reducing potential hazards. If you need to modify the areas to be treated, please contact your account coordinator.

Service Scheduling Options (Select One):

Service Scheduling Options
Auto-Trigger (Recommended): Service is automatically triggered when two (2) inches of snow accumulate or when ice conditions are present. Clients selecting this option receive priority service, as routes are planned in advance based on expected conditions.
Service as Needed: Following significant winter weather events, KPS will contact the client via automated call. The client confirms service using touchtone response. While this option offers some priority, response times may vary based on workload and route availability.
As Requested: Clients call KPS at 607-301-1158 to request service at any time. While we strive to accommodate all requests, this option does not guarantee priority service. Scheduling will depend on current workload and route availability, with response times varying. Note: Service requests made outside of normal business hours may incur an additional emergency response fee.

Invoice Delivery Options (Select One):

Invoice Delivery Options
Paper Billing: A physical invoice will be printed and left on-site upon completion of each service. Should there be any issue with our on-site printer or mobile device, a paper invoice will instead be mailed to you via USPS. This option is ideal for clients who do not have computer or internet access or who prefer a physical bill and payment stub for mailing payment.
Electronic Billing: An invoice will be emailed to the primary contact email address following the completion of each service. With this option, clients can pay online for added convenience or print the invoice and payment stub to mail in a payment, if preferred.

Snow Clearing from Vehicles (Optional):

Snow Clearing from Vehicles
Auto-Treat Vehicles on Property: Automatically clear snow from all vehicles on the property during each service visit.
Auto-Treat Specified Vehicle(s) Only (Select and specify vehicles below):
Opt Out of Vehicle Snow Clearing Service: No vehicles will be cleared unless specifically requested.

Snow Removal from Standard Passenger Vehicle: $7.99 per vehicle, per visit

Includes clearing snow from headlights, brake lights, license plate(s), hood, front and rear windshields, roof, mirrors, and windows. Does not include window scraping or de-icing.

Special Requests and Instructions: Please use this space to share any specific requests, preferences, or instructions related to your snow and ice management services. For example, you may specify areas that need extra attention, preferred clearing times, or any other important details to help us best meet your needs.

Agreement Terms:

Payment Terms: Payment for services rendered is due upon receipt of the invoice. If payment is not received within ten (10) calendar days from the invoice due date, a late fee of $25 or 10% of the total invoice amount (whichever is greater) will apply. Additional late fees, calculated in the same manner, will accrue at 30, 60, and 90 days past the due date, compounding over time and added to the outstanding balance at each interval.

Payment Methods: KPS accepts cash, checks, money orders, credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), as well as online transfers through Zelle, Venmo, and CashApp. Bank transfers and ACH payments are also accepted. For questions or assistance regarding payments, please contact our office at 607-301-1158.

Scope of Service: Each visit will include the services outlined in the selected service option. For clients opting for Plowing Only, the service will consist of the use of a vehicle-mounted plow to clear snow. This option does not include shoveling, snowblowing, or salting. For clients selecting Full Service, the most appropriate treatment will be applied based on weather conditions, which may include plowing, snowblowing, shoveling, and/or salting as needed to maintain safety and accessibility.

Service Flexibility: Regardless of the selected scheduling option (Auto-Trigger or Service as Needed), clients may request additional service at any time by calling our office at 607-301-1158. We strive to accommodate all requests based on route availability and current workload.

Surcharge Application: Surcharges for 12-24 inches and 24+ inches will apply to cover additional labor, time, fuel, and equipment wear. The base rate covers snow accumulation of up to 12 inches.

No Long-Term Commitment: Clients can opt out of service at any time unless otherwise specified.

Pricing Validity: Pricing is guaranteed for seven (7) calendar days from the date of preparation.

Service Period: For operational purposes, KPS defines the winter season for snow and ice management as November 1, 2024, through April 30, 2025. Services will be available within this timeframe in accordance with the terms outlined in this agreement.

Emergency Response Fee: Service requests specifically made for immediate response outside of normal business hours will incur a $250 emergency response fee, in addition to the standard service rate. This fee applies only to urgent, on-demand requests and not to routine treatments that may occur outside normal hours due to weather conditions. This fee ensures we can allocate resources promptly and safely manage urgent requests during non-business hours.

Priority and Timeliness Disclaimer: Due to the unpredictable nature of winter weather and the high demand for snow and ice management services, KPS does not guarantee priority or timely service for all visits. While every effort will be made to provide prompt service, delays may occur due to hazardous conditions, heavy snowfall, or increased workload. Clients will be notified of any significant delays or changes to scheduled services when possible.

Risk and Liability Disclaimer: KPS will take every reasonable precaution to perform snow and ice management services with care and professionalism. However, by signing this agreement, the client acknowledges and accepts the following risks and conditions:

  1. Potential for Minor Damage: Due to the nature of snow removal, some minor damage to surfaces such as lawn edges, driveways, curbs, pavers, or landscaping may occur. KPS will not be held liable for minor incidental damage resulting from regular snow and ice management activities.

  2. Limitations of Control: KPS is not responsible for damage caused by conditions beyond our control, including but not limited to hidden obstacles beneath the snow, pre-existing property damage, or conditions resulting from severe weather events.

  3. Negligence or Major Damage: In cases of negligence or significant damage caused by KPS personnel or equipment, KPS will promptly address and resolve the issue to the client’s satisfaction.

This disclaimer does not waive KPS's responsibility in the event of gross negligence or reckless behavior. Clients are encouraged to communicate any specific concerns or sensitive areas on the property prior to the start of service.
